The Perfect Bathroom Shower

Hubby and I have been to Sofitel twice. I mean, as guests to the hotel and not counting the times we went there as diners to their sumptuous buffet at Spiral.  On a side note, let me take this opportunity to say thank you to the kind individual who gave us the membership benefits.  These are experiences that we encounter very very rarely.

Anyhow. My post, here it comes, is about bathrooms (Duh!) and how much we liked the setup at the room the we got.  Now that I think about it, I don’t remember what last year’s room was like, considering that we got a free upgrade to a suite.

I know a few friends who are such OCs when it comes to bathrooms.  There is a reason I’m friends with them.  When hubby and I were looking for a place to rent a few months back, the bathroom was once of the things I was very particular about.  It has to be reasonably clean and complete (read: no spiders, no roaches, no discoloration on the walls, no chipped tiles, no rust on the faucet and shower head and strainer, no moldy thingys on the walls). Hubby, being the ex-architect that he is, is particular about ventilation and flow and color and size.

Back to the highlights.  The shower head is the type where the water comes from directly above you — and not at an angle — and the water pressure is practically a massage in itself.  Here is a picture of a Grohe shower head, image taken from amazon.com

And here is the drain, called a linear drain.  I learned it just now while searching google for a picture of it.  Image taken from www.tile-safe.co.uk.

Ah, now, the first part of the hurdle is, really, to find the house to put it in.  Someday-when-we’re-old-and-gray! =)
