Spaghetti with Creamy Meat Sauce

Here is another successful replication of a recipe from — tomato-based pasta with loads of chunky meaty goodness.  This is the first time I had attempted to cook the spaghetti sauce without using pre-packaged ones available in supermarkets.

I used Hungarian sausage for this batch.  These are (probably) cheaper alternatives. They are available at SM supermarkets and are weighed, with each sausage about Php20 on the average.  One thing I did tweak from this recipe is that I cooked the sausage first in the oven before mixing it with the ground beef in the recipe.  Set it for ten minutes in the toaster oven, peel the skin off, then mince.

For a can of diced tomatoes, I used about 2/3 of a tetrapack  of cream.

Never will I buy readymade sauce again from the supermarket.

Pasta was served with Pizza Hut’s Caesar salad on the side.
