Cream Cheese Spread

There was a time when S&R was on sale, and I managed to buy a box of Philadelphia Cream Cheese for only Php65.  That’s really a good deal.  I would’ve bought more, but I was warned about how short the shelf life was.  Dad said that I had to consume it within a week after opening it.  Because it’s just hubby and me at home, I had to think of creative ways to serve the cream cheese, to keep it from getting monotonous.  Here is the first take.

Mince some garlic and green onions, and mix it well with a quarter of a block of cream cheese.  How much depends on how garlicky spicy you want it to be.  Prepare some crunchy bacon too, and crumble it to small pieces.  On the picture below, from hubby’s plate, he ate a slice of bread layered with cream cheese and sprinkled with bacon bits on top.  On my plate, I mixed in the bacon bits with the cream cheese.  Yummy goodness!
