Nommu Bar and Resto

So in case you haven’t noticed yet, my favorite food genre is Japanese.  Too bad they’re so expensive.  Anyhow.  So when I saw Ensogo selling vouchers for a Japanese resto along Tomas Morato, I couldn’t resist.

Take note of the name.  It really is a bar that also serves meals.  We had a php500 voucher, and browsed the menu for dishes to share.

Wow.  I just realized we only took a picture of only one side of the menu.  Big whoops.

So we decided to share a dish of tempura and some boneless chicken wings.  The waitress assured us that it wasn’t spicy.

While waiting for our food, we talked about the decors inside the resto.  It was really dim.  The lights were on the wall.  The design of the table was really cool, though.  And though we were there before 6:30PM, all the other occupied tables were already having their drinking sessions.

The shrimp tempura came first.  Five pieces for php280.  Now this was good tempura.  Crunchy on all sides.  Dipping sauce was gingery but not overwhelming.  Thumbs up!

And here’s the Buffalo chicken tenders.  Scaredy cat me asked hubby to try it first because the scent was suspiciously spicy.  It was a bit spicy for me, but slathering it with the mayo made it tolerable.

We finished all the food over three cups of rice.  It was a good meal. Nommu is located at 265-A Tomas Morato Avenue, Quezon City.  If coming from Timog, turn right at Morato and it’ll be a couple of blocks away on your right. 🙂
